“Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.” – Albert Einstein

Dear Friends of Just Nature Expeditions,

As our classic journeys resume and new ones begin, we reach out to you to keep you abreast with what is in store for you. Nature arouses curiosity and the natural world encourages us to explore beyond boundaries. With this passion of exploring the natural world we present to you in its new avatar, Just Nature Expeditions, an expert in curating guided wildlife safaris. Just Nature Expeditions was previously known as Jehan Numa Expeditions. From remote mountains where we search for the snow leopard to the endless plains of the Masai Mara, our journeys have something in store for every wildlife enthusiast.

A BOUOUET OF EXPEDITIONS DESIGNED FOR YOU

Our curated wildlife expeditions have extended their footprint to Borneo, to Spiti (for Snow Leopard), to Dras (for the brown bear) and we have continued our signature expeditions for Snow Leopard in Ladakh and Red Panda in Singalila. Post the pandemic, we have resumed our programs to Masai Mara for the annual wildebeest migration, Pantanal for the jaguars and Sri Lanka for the leopards, sloth bears and whales. A new Kenya expedition is going to be announced soon where guests can explore the Masai Mara, Amboseli and Tsavo Game Reserves. Soon we will also be launching other lesser-known domestic wildlife destinations and an exclusive photographic safari, so do stay tuned!

SPECIES OF THE MONTH

The Bornean Orangutan, Pongo pygmaeus, is an endangered great ape found exclusively on the island of Borneo. The name Orangutan means ‘man of the forest’ in the Malay language. In the lowland forests in which they reside, orangutans live solitary existences. They feast on wild fruits and slurp water from holes in trees. They make nests in trees of vegetation to sleep at night and rest during the day. Adult male orangutans can weigh up to 200 pounds. Orangutans are ‘gardeners’ of the forest, playing a vital role in seed dispersal in their habitats. The habitats of Asia’s only great apes are fast disappearing under the chainsaw to make way for oil palm plantations and other agricultural plantations. An expedition to see the Orangutan is planned each year by Just Nature Expeditions. This year we travel from 18 to 25 June to Borneo, stay tuned for the trip report. Plan a trip soon to see these enigmatic animals.

WHAT GUESTS HAD TO SAY

“I have traveled with Just Nature Expeditions to Pantanal, Brazil, and Tanzania, Africa. Both expeditions exceeded my expectations and gained fantastic memories and new friends for the rest of my life. In terms of pricing, it was absolutely worth it, pretty affordable with other comparison adventurous travel agencies. Our tour leader, Aly, had a fantastic knowledge about wildlife but also his photo skills were pretty useful for everybody in the group. If you are a keen photographer, definitely consider booking with them, you will be in the right hands. Overall, great communication before start of the trip, well organised trip! Looking forward to my next adventure with them to see the snow leopard!” – Michaela Bauerova
